I walked forward, no longer tracing the map. My feet knew something my mind hadn’t yet caught up to.
The path had softened. Less wild, more intentional. The wind shifted and carried voices — not loud or commanding, but familiar. Almost as if I had heard them before being born.
A figure waited near the bend of the path. Not imposing, not urgent — simply present. Cloaked in a hue that shimmered with all the colors I’d forgotten.
Their eyes held no answers, only permission.
“You already know,” they whispered, “but you’ve forgotten the shape of your knowing.”
I looked down at my hands, suddenly aware of the vibrations pulsing in my palms — like echoes of something once held, something once passed down.
“You are not becoming someone else. You are remembering the voice inside you that already knows.”
